Resurrection is Live!

Resurrection: The Heresy of a Jesuit,  is the prequel to my Predestination series.

It was published yesterday and will be available on all the normal sites (Amazon, Apple iBooks, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, etc) within a day or two of this post.

Resurrection is centred on the young John Dee's visit to Paris (France) in 1550, where he gave lectures on the topic of Euclid's mathematics. It describes a little of John's backstory; how he learned herbology and alchemy.

It also introduces the reader to the twin topics of the Society of Jesus (aka The Jesuits) and the Spanish Inquisition (nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!).

The plot of Resurrection is also my homage to the classic 1930 novel The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett.

In common with the other books in the series, the plot hangs around actual documented historical events:

  • John Dee arrived in Paris on July 20, 1550. He gave a course of free public lectures in Euclid at the College of Rheims.
