Written in a manner that is impossible to detatch yourself from. You feel connected to the main characters and the plots, of which there are many. You want them to succeed, Julian Downes has turned this part of our history into a fascinating and excititng story. 'Insurrection' is next. Cannot wait. Having read all previous books in the series, it will be a corker.
