Resurrection: The Heresy of a Jesuit

Resurrection

Paris, 1550.

When a dying stranger forces a mysterious oath upon the young Cambridge scholar John Dee, what began as a European education becomes something far more dangerous.

Plunged into the shadowy world of Parisian religious intrigue, Dee struggles to control his emotions as he navigates competing loyalties while investigating a heretical Jesuit whose dangerous ideas threaten the established order. In the city’s bustling streets, elegant facades conceal lethal tensions – and everyone Dee meets has reasons to lie.

This is the story of how an uncertain young scholar became an academic celebrity and a reluctant detective. Before his fame, there was Paris, and a dying man’s secret.

Can Dee distinguish friend from foe before the heresy consumes them both? Sometimes the most dangerous ideas are the ones that make perfect sense.

What readers say

“I’m not a fan of prequels, but I have been waiting for the next instalment of the Predestination series (which I found difficult to put down) so I read it. Wow…. This story is great. I’m a fan of John Dee and this is his early life. You cannot but be caught up in the adventures, disappointments and triumphs as the story unfolds. I wanted to find out how John was going to get out of all the difficulties that were created by his innocence and belief that people around him were trustworthy. It was brilliant. However, I am still waiting for the next in the series, hopefully not too long.”

“Resurrection is a fast paced thriller. Such a good story line and really interesting characters, I couldn’t put it down. All the action takes place against the backdrop of 16th century Paris about which the author is obviously very knowledgable. I can’t wait for the next book.”
